Asian Academy Creative Awards Finalises Gala Ceremony Presenters

The Asian Academy Creative Awards has chosen the award presenters for this year’s Gala Ceremony, held at Singapore’s iconic Chijmes Hall on 7th December. By: Dylan Low

Actors will be flying in across different regions, to present a golden Goddess statuette and in hopes of claiming one. 

From China, notable ballerina and talk show host Jin Xing will make an appearance. She is known to many as China’s Oprah Winfrey.

Emmy winner and Oscar nominated veteran storyteller Ronnie Del Carmen will be coming in for the awards as well. His opening for the Pixar movie UP, is recognised as one of the best film montages in history. Mr. Del Carmen will also lead a workshop at the National Winner Conference.

From India, acting talents Vijay Varma and Rajshri Deshpande will arrive for the event.

Tiz Zaqyah, who will be contending for Best Actress in A Leading Role in series Liar, will be joined with a formidable Malaysian group consisting of Siti Seleha, Azira Shafinaz and 2021 award recipient Susan Lankester.

The Philippines will also be notably represented with actors of ABS-CBN’s Cattleya Killer travelling over for the event. 2020’s Best Actor In A Leading Role winner Arjo Atayde will be accompanied by Jane Oinez and sister Ria Atayde supported by a remarkable team of production executives.

Contending for the Best Entertainment Host, Manila Luzon is looking to host the opening award of the Gala. Viu’s K-Love star Isabelle Daza will also be hosting, as Mond Gutierrez will present the Red Carpet alongside ex- E! Entertainment emcee Yvette King.

Thailand will showcase stars Sadanont Durongkavarojana and Venita Loywattanakul, also joined by Remember 15 stars Prapakon Chairak and Purewarin Kosiriwalano and Bangkok actress and model Ase Wang. Tu - Tontawan Tantivejakul will also make an appearance, which is sure to attract attention and a large following on the red carpet.

Host country Singapore will highlight Crazy Rich Asians actress Tan Kheng Hua, back from Canada where she appeared in Warner Brothers TV show Kung Fu. Also arriving at the awards will be Desmond Tan, Carrie Wong, Third Rail’s Jason Godfrey and Carla Dunareanu, Paige Chua, radio DJ Sonia Chew and Joakim Gomez and Singapore’s competitor for Best Actress, Jernelle Oh.

Departing 2023 Chairman of Awards Clement Schwebig, from Warner Bros.Discovery, will present the newly constructed Legacy Award, the only statuette chosen by the Asian Academy of Creative Arts and showcased to an organisation for exemplary achievement, innovation and industry leadership, especially when battling adversity.

The Ceremonies will be covered by Singaporean-American actor Bobby Tonelli.
