Singapore and Philippines Forge Film Collaboration for Global Audiences
Singapore filmmaker Alaric Tay and Philippines Black OPs Studios Asia and PsyOps Studios unveiled a joint venture at the Asia Television Forum (ATF) in SIngapore. By: Wee Yan Ling
The venture also encompasses partnerships with Asian entities such as Fly Entertainment, Causeway Media Productions and IAmCasting. Alaric Tay had expressed their ability to enhance the quality and appeal of projects as they are united like-minded visionaries from diverse backgrounds.
The joint effort is to produce a myriad of films with a duration that stretches to 2026. Genres included would be action, sci-fi, horror and comedy.
Tay had been recognised for his role in the zombie film, Zombiepura and his role as a co-producer and director in HBO Asia’s comedy series, SeNT. He is renowned for his versatility as he has portrayed various satirical roles in Mediacorp including the renowned series, The Noose.
Black Ops Studios Asia and PsyOps Studios is directed by Pedring Lopez and producer Rex Lopez. They were previously involved in Netflix’s inaugural Filipino movie Maria and the popular production SellBlock which will be scheduled for release next year.
