British Basketball League has now penned broadcasting agreements with TV operators Bally Sports and Fubo Sports, extending its media coverage across North America. By: Dylan Low
Bally Sports will be telecasting two British Basketball League games every week, scheduled for Thursday and Friday effective from now. The tournament will broadcast across the Bally Sports RSNs, with games live-streamed through the company’s OTT service Bally Sports+ and accessible on demand using the Bally Sports app.
Fubo Sports is also screening a selection of weekend games in the US and Canada, with more British Basketball League content showcasing on Fubo Sports’ YouTube channel this month onwards.
The deal will allow the sports body to increase its US outreach, after its latest signed agreement with NBC Sports Regional Networks (RSN) back in October last year, which showcases the 2023/24 season across chosen territories in the US.
When talking about both partnerships, British Basketball League chief executive officer, Aaron Radin, mentioned, “This partnership with Bally Sports signifies yet another big step in the growth and global appeal of our League. We’re excited to showcase the competitiveness of British basketball to Bally Sports audiences and create connections with sports fans in the US through the incredible reach of their regional networks.”
He continued by saying, “The British Basketball League is excited to bring its high-quality content to Fubo Sports that showcases the skill, passion, and excitement that define British basketball. This partnership marks a significant step forward in expanding the global footprint of the League and elevating the profile of British basketball on the international stage.”
