Sports streaming service TrillerTV, previously known as FITE, has acquired the media rights for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2024 in UK and Ireland. By: Dylan Low

51 matches played in the AFC Asian Cup and on-demand highlights will be
broadcasted live on the streaming platform, accessible to customers through the
TrillerTV+ subscription.
The
Asian football tournament took place on January 12th, with the final set to
happen on February 10th. TrillerTV have revealed that games will be played
in a Euro style group stage and knockout stage format.
The
competition showcases a few notable Premier League players, namely Mitoma
Kaoru, Endo Wataru, Tomiyasu Takehiro, Son Heung-min and Hwang Hee-chan. Other
popular football stars featuring in the AFC Asian Cup include Bayern Munich’s
Kim Min-jae, PSG’s Lee Kang-in and Real Sociedad’s Kubo Takefusa.

The agreement for rights to the AFC Asian Cup was managed by sports marketing agency AFG for Triller TV. The streaming platform consists of a wide range of combat sports, alongside football, basketball and motorsports. At present, it owns rights to Liga Portugal and AFC Champions League. TrillerTV’s COO Mike Weber also unveiled that sumo wrestling and a new arm-wrestling competition will be available on the platform in the first quarter of the year.
