The Musical of Your Life Season Three Quadruples Belgium Market Shares
The third season of blockbuster series The Musical of Your Life made its premiere in the last two weeks, on Play4 in Belgium. By: Dylan Low
After two spectacular seasons, the first primetime episode of the new season featuring notable actor Tom Waes earned a remarkable market share of 54.1% (18-44, Live+6), a significant rise of a +463% compared to Play 4’s average market share.
Every
episode of The Musical of Your Life pays homage to a fan-favourite
celebrity. This popular individual is invited to a theatre alongside the host
for a up-close and personal interview, where five of the most memorable moments
of his or her life are portrayed as touching musical scenes performed live on
stage. After each scene, the celebrity looks back on those important moments
and talks about it.
With
the celebrity show format originally produced by Dedsit, it claimed the Rose
D’Or for best entertainment format in 2022. The series was commissioned by
Prosieben in Germany and broadcasted last fall on Telecinco in Spain. The
Spanish audiences got to have an intimate and heartwarming perspective into the
life of their local celebrities, as they managed to witness several key moments
in El Musical de tu Vida.
