Comedian and TV host Bert Kreischer will continue partnership with Netflix, penning a deal with the streaming service to shoot two more stand-up comedy specials. By: Dylan Low
This will
be the fourth and fifth specials for Kreischer on Netflix, after the previous instalments
titled Razzle Dazzle (2023), Hey Big Boy (2020), and Secret
Time (2018).
The first
of the two agreed specials will begin production at the Mahaffey Theatre in St.
Petersburg, Florida, on July 6th. It would be some kind of homecoming for
Kreischer, who spent his childhood around Tampa (where he most recently sold
out the Amalie Arena in February 2023). Kreischer had his tenure at Florida
State University, where he was infamously acknowledged as the “Number One
Partier in the Nation” by Rolling Stone in 1997.
Kreischer
will executively produce the new specials with help from LeeAnn Kreischer, Judi
Marmel, Tony Hernandez, Jeff Tomsic and Jordan Levy. Tomsic also features as
director, while Kreischer’s Berty Boy Productions is behind the specials.
The
comedian is currently travelling on his “Tops Off World Tour,” as he makes his
way to countries such as the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
His other
credits include a role in Sony Pictures’ The Machine, premiering last
year and references his stand-up’s routine about meeting Russian mobsters on a
trip. The story became his signature piece, forming the foundation of his 2016
special The Machine. Both the special and the film are available on
Netflix.
