In January, Amazon Prime Video unveiled a broad collection of television series and films in multiple genres, where there are various standout selections for audiences to choose from to kickstart 2024.

For those looking for a light-hearted comedy series, Role Play would make an excellent choice. It will premiere on January 12th and feature Kaley Cuoco as the titular character. Filled with humorous twists and interesting developments, Role Play is a blockbuster addition to the streaming service that appeals towards audiences. Kaley Cuoco will also be producing beside Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona, and directed by filmmaker Thomas Vincent. Other cast members consist of David Oyelowo who plays her spouse in the film, Connie Nielsen and Bill Nighy.

Kevin James: Irregardless, a comedy feature special will be broadcasted on Amazon Prime on January 23rd. Spanning up to an hour, this long-awaited programme is accessible to 240 nations and territories globally, which places spotlight on celebrity comedian and actor Kevin James in his first ever comedy special.

Showcasing his known wit and charm, this film presents his unfiltered yet hilarious perspective of marriage, kids, and the inevitable passage of time. A family-friendly show, audiences will definitely be entertained by a wide selection of relatable topics. Actor-director Kevin James will also be executive producing together with Jeff Sussman, Anthony Giordano and Brady Nasfell.

A new series will also make its way to the platform on January 26th, titled Expats. Based on Janice Y. K. Lee's novel The Expatriates, the series adaptation follows three American women, who are played by Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo, where they all cross paths following a sudden family tragedy. This six-episode production is centered on the concepts of blame and accountability, while exploring blurred lines between victimhood and culpability.
