Paramount Global Content Distribution unveiled in MIPCOM that they have licensed the highly anticipated CBS Studios series, Elsbeth to TF1 in France. The series is based on the popular character featured in The Good Wife and The Good Fight, starring Emmy Award Winner, Carrie Preston. The series has been highly rated in the French Territory and the agreement will render TF1 viewers exclusive access to the series.
Elsbeth stars Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, an astute but unconventional attorney who makes use of her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals with the NYPD. Elsbeth navigates the obstacles of interacting with the esteemed Captain C.W. Wagner after leaving her thriving legal career in Chicago for a novel position in New York City.
The captain is known for his charisma and respected leadership and soon becomes a prominent figure to Elsbeth. Elsbeth's partner is Office Kaya Blanke, an ethical and composed officer who admires Elsbeth's one of a kind approach.
"We are thrilled to work with TF1 to bring ELSBETH to the French audience," said Catherine Molinier, Vice President, Client Relations, Paramount Global Content Distribution. "This series is an example of the innovative and excellent storytelling that CBS Studios produces, and we are confident that TF1 will provide an exceptional home for the series' future success in France."
The deal marks an exciting occasion for Paramount Global Content Distribution as they continue the expansion of The Good Wife universe and reach global audiences.
