End of an Era: Blue Bloods to Conclude with Season 14

CBS announces final season split, with 10 episodes premiering Feb. 16 following industry strikes, and remaining 8 airing in the fall; network honors legacy and expresses gratitude to cast, crew, and devoted viewers. By: Wee Yan Ling

CBS had announced that the acclaimed police procedural drama, Blue Bloods will come to a close with its upcoming season 14. The final season will be a poignant conclusion to the impressive 275-episode run that had spanned more than a decade. 

The final season will be split into two parts, the first 10 episodes are scheduled to air from 16 February and the last 8 episodes will grace the screens in fall. 

CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and CBS Studios president David Stapf had displayed their gratitude and acknowledged the series as a monumental part of CBS’ legacy. The show has been a powerhouse on Friday nights since its launch in September 2010 which had garnered a loyal fanbase.

The executives of the network had also paid tribute to the late Leonard Goldberg for developing the series and commended the incredible cast spearheaded by Tom Selleck. The talented cast for the Reagan family has become a cherished presence in the hearts of the audiences over the years.

“Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes. Thank you to CBS Studios and the CBS network for their steadfast support, and we offer heartfelt gratitude to the fans who gathered with us for dinner every Friday night.” Selleck shared.
