Turkish Series Another Love Makes History
Turkish drama Another Love secures top honours at the 62nd Rose d’Or Awards, marking a milestone in the international recognition of Turkish television. By: Wee Yan Ling
The enchanting drama, Another Love, produced by TIMS&B Productions had been awarded the highly recognised Rose d’Or Award for “Best Soap / Telenovela.” This has successfully propelled Another Love as the inaugural Turkish series to have received such a prestigious recognition.
The Rose d’Or Awards, recognised by the European Broadcasting Union as the "gold standard of excellence and achievement in entertainment programming," featured over 700 projects vying for honours across 13 diverse categories.
Despite being placed in intense competition with finalists from all over the world, Brazil, Belgium, the UK, Spain, and Poland, the series emerged victorious bringing glory to Turkish television. The international distributor for the drama, Global Agency, received the award during the ceremony.
Helmed by acclaimed producers Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar, TIMS&B Productions, the creative force behind Another Love, boasts a track record of hit series such as Gulperi, The Oath, Bitter Lands, Deception, The Shadow Team, and The Trusted. The drama, featuring popular stars Hande Ercel and Burak Deniz, airs on FOX during prime time and has garnered a vast global fan base.
Another Love has been catapulted into the limelight and is addressed as Turkey’s most captivating series. All these are attributed to the psychological depth and compelling narrative.
