Oceanus Media Group (OMG) has announced its commitment in revolutionising content creation through the integration of Virtual Production (VP). The company has adopted a multifaceted approach which includes strategic collaborations, cutting-edge technology and educational initiatives with the intention to shape the way stories are told and experienced.
OMG is in collaboration with Iskandar Malaysia Studios (IMS) which aims to synergize the strength of both parties. As they combine OMG’s expertise in Integrated Virtual Production (VP) capabilities with IMS’s state-of-the-art sound stages and production support.
OMG's contribution to this collaboration is multifaceted, showcasing cutting-edge integrated Virtual Production (VP) capabilities. Leveraging expertise and a suite of innovative tools, OMG brings forth a full-scale LED volume complete with sky panel and side panel installations, alongside virtual artistry and VP solutions. Additionally, collaborating with industry partners like Showho, Pixotope, 3particle and True Colour Media ensures comprehensive production support.
OMG will also be rolling out a specialised masterclass for producers and directors in the first quarter of 2024. These sessions aim to render industry professionals an in-depth understanding of Virtual Production and empower them with hands -on experience on the cutting-edge technology. This will help to enhance the storytelling and shape the future of content creation as they adopt the new practices.
OMG’s collaboration with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) focuses on curriculum development and immersive training programs which helps to educate and train the next generation of VP content creators with the skills in immersive media. The collaboration spans curriculum enhancement, project collaborations, masterclasses, staff attachments, and student internship programs, focusing on shaping a skilled workforce adept in the rapidly evolving landscape of virtual production.
