Samsung TV Plus, known as Samsung’s FAST and AVOD service, will be bolstering its content line-up in the US in the lead-up to the holidays, by adding a raft of new channels from A+E and other content. By: Dylan Low
The new content supplies Samsung's availability of over 330 channels in the US, coupled with on-demand content.
These new channel titles comprise of American Pickers by History which talks about hidden treasure; Hoarders by A&E looks at the houses of people facing a battle against compulsive hoarding; Flipping Nation focusing on home renovation; 60 Days In showcases undercover exposés of jail life; Intervention goes in-depth about addiction; History 365 entails insight on hit series from The History Channel; Storage Wars: LA on left-behind auctions and profits; Bring It! showcases theatrical rehearsals, battles, and rivalries; Little Women: LA; Mountain Men by History; I Survived… shares about survival stories; Alone by History also focuses on survival stories; Forged in Fire talks about swords and sword-craft, and Swamp People which describes what life is like in the Louisiana swamps.
Other channels which feature on the platform are Hagerty, centred on cars and car culture; and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, a family Western show.
Samsung TV Plus will showcase more local news in the US, streaming Fox from Austin, Detroit, Milwaukee, Orlando, Phoenix, Seattle and Tampa Bay.
A brand-new movie collection has been prepared for the holiday season, with festive channels such as Hallmark Movies & More, Holiday Movie Favorites, A Very Merry Murphy; Murray & McCarthy Marathon, Get Some Holiday Cheer, A Comedic Christmas, A Rockin’ Movie Hub NYE, and a “Chase-mas” Marathon.
