Mr. Bean Unveils Season 4

Spinoff from Banijay Kids Family, Tiger Aspect Kids & Family has commissioned the third sequel of iconic animation comedy, Mr. Bean. By: Cassia Ling

In a joint effort with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX, the upcoming series comprises 52 episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 11 minutes. Dating back to the early 2000s, the animated series was adapted from the sitcom of British comical sensation, Rowan Atkinson, who would globetrot on escapades with his beloved toy, Teddy. The sitcom has attained stardom offshore, with the triumph of Atkinson’s comedic abilities to resonate with audiences worldwide.

The animation series serves to deliver more of Tiger Aspect Kids & Family’s ingenuity of Mr. Bean’s antics with Teddy during their voyage, where its young audiences can appreciate.

Season 4 will launch in Cartoonito and HBO Max across EMEA, on Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids channels in 2025. The comedy show will also be available on streaming services in South and Southeast Asia, and ITVX Kids in the U.K. and Ireland.

Rowan Atkinson said: “I have always enjoyed this iteration of the Mr. Bean character and the particular freedoms he has in animated form. We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences. The animation process creatively is always fascinating and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much.”

Tom Beattie, managing director of Tiger Aspect Kids & Family and series producer, added: “It’s a real pleasure to have the opportunity to go back to such a special series. Mr. Bean is an iconic comedy legend and it’s an honour to work with Rowan to create this physically funny series.”

Cathy Payne, CEO of Banijay Rights said: “One of the most loved characters in television comedy history, Mr. Bean’s amusing escapades are cherished by children and families across the world. So we’re thrilled to continue our long-standing partnership with Warner Bros Discovery and ITV on this wonderful animated series which captures Bean’s world so brilliantly.”

“We’re thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with Mr. Bean, making Cartoonito its home across EMEA alongside our kids channels and streaming services in South and Southeast Asia,” said Zia Sands, Lead Content Acquisitions, Partnerships & Co-productions, KIDS, EMEA, Warner Bros Discovery. “Mr Bean’s comedy antics continue to resonate universally, and we are excited to bring our audiences more of what they love.”

Darren Nartey, senior acquisitions manager for film and kids at ITVX, noted: “We are so looking forward to welcoming back a British icon to ITVX Kids in 2025 and can’t wait to share more of Mr. Bean’s unique sense of humour with the young and the young-at-heart.”
