Harrison Ford to receive Career Achievement Honour

Ford's enduring impact is further highlighted by recent ventures, including the Yellowstone spinoff series 1923 and an upcoming role in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World. By: Wee Yan Ling

It has been unveiled that Harrison Ford will be receiving the Career Achievement Award at the 29th annual event, hosted by Chealsea Handler and broadcast on The CW. He is also nominated for the best supporting actor on Apple TV+ series, Shrinking at the Sunday’s Critics Choice Awards.

Ford continues to make waves in the industry with his appearances in films such as Yellowstone spinoff series 1923 with Helen Mirren and his new role in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World. The actor had just reprised his renowned role as Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny last year and received a surprise honorary Palme d’Or for lifetime achievement at the Cannes Film Festival.

His illustrious career dates back to the late 1960s when he was in a myriad of stellar performances like Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Blade Runner, The Fugitive and many more. He has been honoured with a plethora of prestigious awards over the years, including the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ Albert R. Broccoli Award and the American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Produced by Bob Bain Prods, the Critics Choice Awards ceremony will honour America Ferrera with the eighth annual SeeHer Award.
