stage and screen legend and a two-time Academy Award winner, is set to portray
the iconic composer George Frideric Handel in an upcoming biopic titled The
King of Covent Garden. The film will delve into the period when Handel
worked on his choral masterpiece, Messiah. Here are some key details

The movie will celebrate Handel’s genius and
creativity as he defied conventions to create the timeless anthem that has
inspired audiences worldwide for nearly 300 years.
The film is scheduled for a late fall 2025 and Embankment
Films is behind the project and has launched global pre-sales. Exclusively directed
by Andrew Levitas, known for directing Minimata, will helm the film. Screenplay
