Viddsee Enhance Storytelling with Dolby

Creator platform Viddsee and Dolby laboratories, known for immersive entertainment experiences, are collaborating to empower growth of potential storytellers. By: Dylan Low

This cooperation utilises Dolby’s advanced audio-visual technologies, Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos immersive audio in filmmaking at Viddsee’s Scene City Anthology - a short film slate commissioned to recognise future talents.

Vice-President of APAC Marketing Dolby Laboratories, Ashim Mathur states, “We are thrilled to work with Viddsee in showcasing the short film, Solitude in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Dolby Vision brings the characters in Solitude to life with sharper contrast, richer details, and a remarkable colour range whilst Dolby Atmos offers a premium, multidimensional audio experience that draws you into the action. Consumers can experience Solitude in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on Dolby-enabled mobile devices. Dolby is looking forward to working with Viddsee and its content creation community to take the industry to the next level by enhancing their storytelling with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.”

Through this partnership, Dolby provides storytellers post-production help, training and workshops by making use of their technologies in films, starting with Solitude - Viddsee’s inaugural Dolby-enabled Original. Solitude was showcased on 24th October at the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)’s PIXEL Innovation Hub. preceding a panel discussion on the collaboration improving audio-visual quality of the film.

With the achievement of Solitude, Viddsee and Dolby will continue working together, offering opportunities for filmmakers from the next Scene City Anthology slate to produce and distribute their films using Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, over a span of two years. This collaboration also introduces workshops and masterclasses, bringing educational opportunities for Viddsee’s creator community.
