Louis Koo Teases Warriors Of Future Prequel, Dives into Career

Koo made a mark in the entertainment industry since his debut in the 1990s from humble beginnings. From TV series to cinema screens working with acclaimed directors including Johnnie To and the late Benny Chan, Koo has an extensive portfolio of credited films including Election, Overheard, The White Storm and Paradox, which earned him several best actor honours from the Hong Kong Film Awards and Asian Film Awards.

Koo highly established himself to be a big player in the film industry, finding his production company One Cool, which expanded specialties into various areas including distribution, post-production, VFX, artist management and film equipment rental.

The Hong Kong actor is in New York, set to receive the highest honour by NYAFF while unveiling a paramedic drama series produced by One Cool. He will attend the NYAFF’s screening action thriller The White Storm 3: Heaven Or Hell.

Koo mentioned that his vision for One Cool was to set up a one-stop shop, providing the best services and technology knowhow at every stage of the production. Koo also wishes that the company can continuously raise the standards of the Hong Kong film industry.

He shared that he does not have directing plans for now, citing that, “It’s already exhausting to be an actor and a producer, but maybe a few years down the road if I have a really good story.”
