After four months of no filming due to SAG-AFTRA strike, Deadpool 3 will now be going back to production before Thanksgiving. By: Dylan Low
Produced by Marvel Studios, this film reunites actor Ryan Reynolds with his director Shawn Levy from Free Guy and The Adam Project. Hugh Jackman will be recurring in his role as “Wolverine” for the 10th time.
This project is stated to be one of the more noteworthy films that suspended filming amidst the strike, which puts their projected release date on May, 2024 into doubt.
Deadpool 3 will be the first Marvel produced film to continue a franchise which started by 20th Century Fox, before Disney’s ownership of the studio back in 2019. Stars from the past films are set to reprise their roles, namely Morean Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Rob Delaney, joined by new actors Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.
Jennifer Garner is also set to return as Elektra, the superhero she first portrayed as in 2003’s Daredevil and the 2005 spin-off Elektra.
