The interior design expert and beloved co-host of Queer Eye, Bobby Berk, announces his departure from the hit Netflix reality show after Season 8, marking the end of an era for the award-winning series. By: Wee Yan Ling
Bobby Berk, one-fifth of the charismatic hosting team of popular series, Queer Eye, declared that he will be bidding farewell to the reality show after the upcoming Season 8. Berk alongside co-hosts Antoni Parowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Tan France have been an integral part of the show since its reboot.
The highly looked forward Season 8 is set to release on 24th January next year against the backdrop of New Orleans. Netflix has also confirmed the new season 9 which will take place in the dazzling city of Las Vegas.
Sharing the news on social media, Berk expressed his mixed emotions, stating, "It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that Season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon."
Bobby Berk’s exit marks the end of an era for the series that has amassed a total of 10 Emmy Awards. During his tenure, he served as the interior design export and transformed the homes and lives of numerous contestants.
