Nickelodeon’s The Thundermans Return

The new Nickelodeon film which is based on and continues the popular TV show The Thundermans, has showcased their first teaser trailer. By: Dylan Low

The Thundermans Return will be broadcasted on Paramount+ and every Nickelodean Channel from March 2024 onwards. The narrator in the trailer mentions, “A super new movie brings the return of one super superhero family.”

The Thundermans screened on the Nickelodeon channel from 2013 to 2018. The series depicts Superhero twins Phoebe Thunderman (played by Kira Kosarin) and Max Thunderman (portrayed by Max Griffo) going through ordinary school lives while keeping their superhero status under wraps, as they tackle with their contrasting personalities. Created and executive produced by Jed Spingarn, the notable superhero series was rated the leading series across all TV in the Kids 2-11 and 6-11 categories.

In their special-edition new film, Kosarin and Griffo play their recurring roles as Phoebe and Max respectively. The movie description claims audiences will get to witness “the return of show favorites, new villains and familiar locations.”

It further says, “After three years of fighting crime in their new city of Metroburg, The Thundermans are suddenly stripped of their assignment and sent back to Hiddenville. While Hank and Barb look forward to their return ‘home’, Chloe develops new friend groups, Billy and Nora enjoy a normal school life, and Max and Phoebe are determined to regain their superhero status.”

Alongside Kosarin, Griffo, Dan Cross and David Hoge as executive producers, Spingarn continues his roles as both writer and executive producer. Trevor Kirschner will be the director of the upcoming film.
