Hightown Concludes with Third Season on Starz

US television network Starz has unveiled news that season 3 of Hightown will be the last for the series. By: Dylan Low

The series, which broadcasted back in 2020, entails Jackie Quiñonez’s (Monica Raymund), everyday struggle to remain sober while tackling the opioid crisis that is affecting Cape Cod. Season 2 continued with Jackie’s journey to prove herself as a cop and avenge the passing of her best friend, Junior (Shane Harper). While this happens, the town battles a new dangerous drug known as the Great White.

In this next latest season, Starz released a teaser statement, “everyone will face a deep reckoning”, when villains and corruption emerge all around. “Beliefs and loyalties will be tested, and Jackie will have to learn to stand by herself and for what she believes in,” it states in the series description. Starz has announced the premiere date for their finale season, set on Friday, January 26th 2024.

Joining Raymund, James Badge Dale, Riley Voelkel, Amaury Nolasco, Atkins Estimond and Dohn Norwood will reprise their roles in the previous films. Imani Lewis, Mark Boone Junior, and Mike Pniewski are also slated to return with recurring roles. Ana Nogueira, Taja V. Simpson, Michael Drayer, Garret Dillahunt, and Jeanine Serralles will be guest stars in the upcoming season.

Created and executive produced by Rebecca Cutter, Jerry Bruckheimer will also executive produce together with Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed from Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Additionally, Ellen H. Schwartz, Gary Lennon, and Tim Walsh have taken up roles as executive producers. Lionsgate Television and Jerry Bruckheimer Television are the production companies for the Starz series.
