Inter Medya’s Sayara Premieres at Cannes
Sayara has made its international debut, premiering at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Fantastic Galas.
Cannes - Inter Medya’s revenge film Sayara recently
made its international debut at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the
Fantastic Galas. The film, produced by Inter Yapım, is written and directed by
Can Evrenol (known for works like Baskin and Girl with No Mouth).
Sayara is set to be released in Turkey on June 21, and it has
already been licensed for distribution in Korea. More sales agreements are yet
to be revealed, and the film is also scheduled to screen at additional
festivals in the near future.
Sayara previously debuted at the European Film Market during
the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and is now set to engage with
attendees of the Marché du Film, the film market held alongside the Cannes Film
Festival.
Following its
successful screenings at the International Istanbul Film Festival in April, Sayara
has garnered invitations from numerous international festivals, with
further announcements forthcoming. The film, featured in Inter Medya’s
extensive distribution catalogue, has also secured a licensing deal for Korea.
Negotiations for additional international distribution, including in Taiwan,
Japan, India, and beyond, are currently in progress.
