Dandelooo Inks Distribution Agreement for The Great White North
Emmy Award-winning French animation production and distribution company Dandelooo has signed a distribution agreement with Tobo Media (Canada) for the heart-warming, 2D hour-long animated winter Special The Great White North. By: Wee Yan Ling

Paris - Dandelooo has been granted the exclusive worldwide distribution rights, not including French-speaking territories to The Great White North, the sequel to the captivating mini-series and Special ‘Dounia’.
Directed by André Kadi, the 2D special was produced by Tobo Media and Du Coup Productions (Canada), created by Marya Zarif and targeted to 6 to 9-year-olds. The story follows the journey of 7-year-old Dounia and her grandparents who were forced to leave Syria, finally found a new home and new friends in Canada. They gradually familiarise themselves with the heart of Canada, a nation that has embraced them through its constantly shifting seasons, its varied culinary offerings, and its multitude of languages.
Dounia’s Syrian culture, Rosalie’s Quebecer culture and Miguizou’s indigenous culture got to know each other as they came together and learned from each other. Dounia must also live with the trauma of war and the absence of her father. When his father is released, he embarks on his search to reunite with his daughter. Dounia learns to call her father with all her heart, which ultimately leads him to finding his own daughter, all thanks to Miguizou’s grandmother.
