Japanese Animated Series Ishura Premieres on Disney+

Starting off the new year, a brand-new Japanese anime will be showcasing on Disney+ with the highly-anticipated release of Ishura on January 3rd 2024. By: Dylan Low

A trending adaptation of the popular manga with the same name, Ishura is about the story of a society after the fall of the Demon King. With a group of demigods desperately wanting to showcase themselves as the “One True Hero”, these heroes will face the world's most difficult challenges and rivals to prove who is the strongest of them all.

Adapted for films by Passione, who has created Yuri Is My Job, Love Flops, Ishura is overseen by notable directors Takeo Takahashi and Yuki Ogawa, as the characters were designed by Yoko Kikuchi and Yuka Takashina.

Slated to premiere from January 3, Ishura becomes part of an ever-growing library of exciting Japanese anime content available on Disney+.
